Recording songs has been my mission. I use Studio One Pro, Logic, and now I'm using Pro Tools. Those into recording understand what those tools are. I was 12 yrs old when I wrote my first song. I have played guitar, piano, trumpet, and a variety of other instruments through the years. School bands were my favorite times musically, but I enjoyed the church choir as well.
My wife and I have had to help my mom since her husband passed away years ago. Putting her in a "retirement community" was difficult as she went through the 3 stages - independent, assisted, and now memory care - rather quickly. There is abuse going on in these facilities. Mostly just through neglect, but my mom has had unexplained injuries and bruising. Theft is another problem. There are so many great care givers, but sadly there are a few that are there to neglect and take advantage of the patients.
Most of my life has been an educator. Teaching music has been one of the most rewarding.
